Sean Kingston, born Kisean Jamal Anderson,
is a Reggae fusion
singer and rapper.
Anderson was born in
1990 in Miami Florida,
and was raised in
Kingston, Jamaica from a
very early age. It has
been said that Anderson
has lived a hard life,
facing incarceration and
homelessness as he was
growing up. Fire
Burning, Kingston’s
recent single released
in April 2009, peaked at
#5 on the Billboard Hot
100.
The
Sugababes are
perhaps as renowned for
their apparently
constant line-up
changes, as their string
of hit albums and
singles throughout the
last decade.
Nevertheless, the girl
group have achieved
great international
success with both their
albums and singles,
including Freak Like Me
and Push The Button.
Shakira
Beginning with moderate
success in her home
country,
Shakira has gone on
to become the biggest
selling Colombian artist
of all time, with her
worldwide hit albums,
Laundry Service and Oral
Fixation Vol. 2. Shakira
has also achieved the
biggest selling single
of the 21st Century with
Hips Don‘t Lie.
The Saturdays
The Saturdays are
currently ruling the UK
Singles Chart with their
recent single Forever Is
Over at the number 2
position, beaten by
Chipmunk’s Oopsy Daisy
on the number 1 spot.
Their second album
Wordshaker was released
in October 2009. The
band was nominated for
the 2009 MTV Europe
Music Awards for the
category of Best UK &
Ireland New Act.
Gabe Saporta formed
the four member American
rock band
Cobra Starship in
2006. Other than lead
vocalist Saporta, the
band currently consists
of guitarist Ryland
Blackinton who also
plays the synthesizer,
Alex Suarez on bass and
synthesizer, Victoria
Asher on Keyboards and
Nate Novarro on drums
and percussion. The band
has released three
studio albums to date.
Cobra Starship has
toured extensively with
their music and has
enjoyed increasing
success over the years.
Jay Sean
Jay Sean is the stage
name of Kamaljit Singh
Jhooti who is a British
singer and songwriter.
His entrance into the
market was with Virgin
Records but has since
formed his own company
called Jayded records.
He has had chart topping
success and has released
two albums. He is
currently working on
getting into the US
market.
Duck sauce

Duck sauce is a
collaboration between
two famous DJs. It is
composed of A-trak and
Armand Van Helden and
has been established
since early 2009. Both
artists have had much
previous success and
Armand Van Helden is an
American music producer
and re-mixer who has had
much chart success. He
has lived in a variety
of countries, partly due
to the different
nationalities of his
parents, and has been a
member of the US air
force. He started his
career as a DJ at the
age of 15.
Snow Patrol
Snow Patrol
formed
at the University of
Dundee in 1994 and have
since continued their
student dreams. They are
an alternative rock band
featuring members from
Northern Ireland and
Scotland. The band have
managed a number one
album and received BRIT
award nominations. They
have currently released
23 singles and are still
awaiting that elusive
number one single.
